An Eating Breakthrough!

Abbie finished all of her food! She cleaned the plate. She downed an entire tablespoon of food. It turns out that Abbie is rather fond of avocado. No gagging; no sealing of lips; no shaking of head. She actually reaches for the spoon.

Here is a typical eating experience: Mommy is allowed to put a little food on the spoon but only Abbie is allowed to actually put the spoon in her mouth. Then there is a wrestling match over control of the spoon. Sometimes Mommy wins control, sometimes the floor, sometimes the table and once the sack with plastic bags won. Mommy again puts a little food on the spoon and aims it towards Abbie's mouth. Abbie grabs the spoon and puts it in her mouth.
