Class always starts with waltzing around the gym. Abbie likes it when we waltz in front of the mirror.
We spend a little time reciting nursery rhymes and moving body parts. Like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star while moving Abbie's arms out and in. And then Abbie rolls over onto her tummy for Hickory Dickory Dock (when the clock strikes Mommy lifts up Abbie's body so she rests her weight on her arms.)
Sometimes we play on the bouncy ball, sometimes we play with scarves; but it's always a different activity with different sensations for Abbie.
Mommy's favorite part is the musical instruments. Abbie usually chooses to play the bell-in-the-cage while Mommy plays the sticks. Abbie lays on her tummy and Mommy plays the sticks over her feet, her calves, her legs, her bottom, her back, her shoulders, her arms and sometimes her hands. Let's be clear. Mommy is not hitting Abbie with the sticks. Mommy is hitting the sticks together and the vibration of the stick being hit is what Abbie feels.
