O.M.G. It's finally happened. She said it first!For 2 years, 2 months, 10 days Mommy has been telling Abbie "I love you" and the reaction has been: blank stare, solemn nodding of the head, or sometimes even, "La La Ta" after Mommy prompts, "I love you too, Mommy." But tonight, oh tonight, She said it first!
We were in the parking lot of Mr Villa after having eaten a tasty dinner enjoyed in air conditioning. Abbie was hugging Mommy and patting her on the back and then, "La La Mama." And the world stopped for a moment. Wow. Who knew that four syllables could make a Mommy feel so special?
La La Mama, indeed.
