Abbie has graduated from the crib to her toddler bed. Now the bedtime routine has changed from reading books with Mommy in the rocking chair and then being placed in the crib, to reading books (and snuggling) with Mommy in the bed. After we read the pre-determined number of books (usually three), Abbie says, "Mommy up" which is a signal that Mommy should vacate the bed so Abbie can sleep.
Thus far we've only had two falls from the bed. Usually Abbie awakens and chatters and sings to herself for a while. Pretty soon Mommy or Daddy come in and let Abbie know it's time to get out of bed. So far we're liking this new routine.
