OK Mama?

When the thermometer reaches a sizzling 72 degrees little girls have to do something to cool off. And since Mommy doesn't like watching her little girl with a gun (even the plastic water-filled kind), we have squirt bottles instead.

An important rule with squirt guns is that we don't squirt people without asking them if it's OK first.

So Abbie will pick up her squirt bottle, say, "OK Mama?" and when Mommy says, "yes" she squirts. One time. Then she says, "OK Mama?" and squirts. One time. Mommy has explained to Abbie that the permission she grants to be squirted lasts at least until the bottle is out of water. But it's sweet that she asks each time.
