Cupcakes!

Mommy and Abbie were very busy over the weekend making and frosting cupcakes. When a girl turns three there are a lot of discussions about what she will serve at her party. The first suggestion was a birthday cake and cupcakes. Without actually saying 'no', Mommy nixed that idea by focusing on the cupcakes and what flavor they should be and what color and flavor the frosting should be. Abbie decided on "just plain" cupcakes and pink frosting. Mommy's interpretation was golden cake cupcakes with pink-colored, slightly lemon-flavored frosting.

Abbie did a beautiful job of frosting the cupcakes and adding the rings. And, now that the guests have all gone, we can confess that there may have been some finger-licking during the frosting of the cupcakes. Mommy lectured on the importance of not spreading germs, and there was a lot of hand-washing, but really, who can resist pink frosting? Especially when it's just sitting there on your finger.
