Strawberries

While Daddy was in Boston last weekend, Mommy and Abbie went to visit Gramma and Grandma Enza on the penninsula. It's been a long time since we've seen each other because the Hood Canal Bridge has been closed since the first of May. Fortunately it's now open and we can once again get to Sequim without driving all the way around.

We had lovely weather this past weekend and took advantage by going strawberry picking. Abbie was an ace picker; she was especially good at picking strawberries from Gramma's bucket and putting them into her own mouth.

We managed to leave with just over 9 pounds of strawberries. I'm pretty sure we picked 10 pounds of strawberries, but only 9 made it into our containers. We probably should have weighed Abbie before picking to determine her tare weight.

The rest of the weekend was spent in a strawberry haze - strawberries for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. Mmmmmm. We can't wait for the raspberries to ripen!
