M&Ms and Abbie

Our neighbor recently gave Abbie a few fun sized candies so they have been the dessert option for the last few nights.

Pretty sure that when it's just Daddy he lets Abbie just open the candy and eat it. Heck, he probably even opens the candy for her. Not Mom. Mommy turns M&Ms into work time.

Abbie cut open the package and then poured all of them out onto the table. Mommy asked her to sort them by color. Then Abbie recorded the number of M&Ms of each color on her paper. (go ahead and click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see her impressive work.) She identified which color had the most; which the least; and how many M&Ms in total. Then we played the subtraction game ("What if I took 2 of those green M&Ms and put them in my pocket, how many green ones would be left?")

Abbie then decided she would mark off each color on her paper as she ate it. Oh and she wanted to send Daddy a little movie so he would know what she was doing.

Wow, who knew you could make 20 M&Ms last 20 minutes?
