Mommy, Daddy, and Abbie flew to Denver for a long weekend. Daddy had to work on Friday, but Mommy and Abbie got to play.

We had lovely weather while in Denver - mid 70s and sunny. Too sunny for Abbie. At one point Mommy, Daddy, and Abbie were walking west in the afternoon and Abbie was thrashing about trying to avoid looking into the sun. Mommy said to Abbie, "I can see that you do not like the sun in your eyes. It hurts to have the sun in your eyes."

Abbie spent the next 10 blocks complaining about the sun: "eyes (pronouned 'ice'), no. No, eyes." It quickly went from cute to really, really annoying. This child is very lucky to have been born in the Northwest where she'll only rarely have to contend with bright sun in her eyes.
