Oh bah mah

Mommy was recently flipping through an Entertainment Weekly when Abbie crawled up onto the couch next to her. When we got to the "article" in which the Presidential candidates discuss their pop culture tastes, Abbie pointed to the photo of Barack and started chanting, "Oh bah mah." It took Mommy and Daddy a moment to realize what Abbie was saying and then we exchanged a 'is she really saying what we think she's saying?' look.

Then Abbie pointed to John McCain and asked, "What dat, mama?" Because Mommy and Daddy want to raise an independent thinking daughter who makes up her own mind about issues, Mommy did not editorialize and instead replied, "That man is John McCain."
