Last week was the
South Lake Union Block party. Most of the retail in the neighborhood had booths so there was food, drinks, and information (like information about the DNA in a strawberry!) There was also a kids play area. Abbie saw the bouncy thingy and, much to the surprise of Mommy and Daddy, wanted to go in and bounce. Since there seemed to be only toddlers in the bouncy thingy, Daddy agreed to allow Abbie in. (Daddy heard a news story about a kid who was crushed in one of these bouncy things because he/she got jumped on by a much, much larger 18-year old. Because Abbie is petite and not very aggressive, Daddy is reluctant to allow Abbie into the bouncy thingy for fear of her being squished.)

Abbie
loved it. She doesn't so much jump as stand still and pull her legs out from under her. If you've ever seen her on a big bed, she does the same thing- stands still for a while then slightly jumps up an pulls her feet out. It took a lot of convincing to finally get her
out of the bouncy thingy.

The only thing Mommy didn't like about the bouncy thingy was the attendant referred to Abbie as "little guy." Little cross-dressing guy apparently because Abbie was in a skirt.
