Mommy and Abbie made pancakes for breakfast. This particular Friday Abbie decided she and Mommy needed to be awake and up out of bed before 7 AM. Abbie also decided she needed to be dressed in Mommy's lili sleevelss dress (Grandma Farley made this for Mommy when Mommy was a little girl) in spite of it being a little chilly. The thermometer outside read 58 and as anyone who's been to Abbie's house knows, there is not much difference between the outside and the inside temperatures. When asked if she would select a sweater to wear on top of her dress (would you like this one or that one?) Abbie replied, "No right now."
(Happily Abbie agreed that we needed to change out of the dress with flour all over it before leaving the house for phase II of the adventure.)
Phase IIGood old Children's Museum. The great thing about having a membership is one never feels obligated to do everything in the museum; we simply choose the one or two things we want to do that day and then leave. Today's choices?

1. Shopping at the newly redone (and renamed) Metropolitan Market. First stop was the meat department where Abbie selected a ham, a roast, and a pork chop. Then she loaded up on ice cream. And finally, stuck a few pieces of fruit and some frozen peas into the cart just because Mommy was urging her to.

2. The always popular Art Room. Today Abbie opted for a little painting and a little working with the clay.
Phase III
Abbie accompanied Mommy to a doctor visit. What a treat! There is a climbing wall at Mommy's doctor's office!
