Mommy, Daddy, and Abbie went to a little pow tah at one of Mommy's friend's house for the 4th of July. Mommy's friend Ann lives on Wallingford Ave which is usually a very busy road but for the 4th of July the road was closed so we parked our chairs and ourselves in the middle of the street to watch the fireworks. Now, here in the Northwest the sun doesn't set until very, very late so the fireworks show didn't start until 10 PM.

But the show was spectatular and Abbie appeared, at the time, to enjoy it. On our way home she announced that she was so tired she didn't want any books. Ended up she was so tired that she didn't even make it home before falling asleep.

However, the following day when we asked Abbie if she had a good time, all she did was complain about the lateness of the fireworks. She wanted to sleep but couldn't because we weren't at home. And when she laid down on the blanket the party was too loud, etc. etc.
