Look how proud she is. At school she sewed a button on a piece of fabric. All by herself! With a needle and thread!

As we have learned, fall preschool is much different than summer preschool. There is more structure, more rules about drop-off (a quick hug and a kiss...no more lingering while Abbie removes her shoes and feigns helplessness at putting on her slippers) and best of all, two great teachers who are there all day with the kids.

Mommy recently attended back-to-school night at Abbie's school and we are more convinced than ever that this is exactly the right program for Abbie. She is having a great time and becoming more and more independent. It seems as though each day we pick her up from school she has mastered a new skill. This in spite of the fact that she apparently does nothing each day or at least that is what she reports to us.
