Violin!

Tomorrow is a big day. Abbie starts violin lessons! About a year ago one of her Northwest Montessori School chums brought her violin to school and played a little recital for the class. That day Abbie asked if she could take violin lessons. At the time Abbie was doing dance class and swim lessons and since two activities is enough for a little girl, we said 'no.'  But time has passed, it is a year later and Abbie still wants to take violin lessons and is willing to give up swim lessons. OK. Fine. She wins.  So a few weeks go Mommy and Abbie went to observe a group violin lessons. And then two weeks ago we met the violin teacher and learned about the program. (Interestingly, one does not begin with a violin. Instead, on begins with a VHS box and a paint stick to learn how to properly hold the instrument. We hope to graduate to an actual violin within a few lessons.)
